Dear Shigeru:

\J	Thanks for your letter of July 14 and for your efforts to arrange
my visit.  February is rather late for a definite offer, because I might
have to decide whether to accept some other offer by then, but there
is no immediate crisis.

	It looks like neither of my daughters will be coming.

	I gather from your letter that it might turn out that there is money
for a short visit but not for a full nine months.  Most likely, this would
also be feasible for me.\.
